Loyola Vikasa Kendra, Hangal, in collaboration with the Government Higher Primary School, Yalival, and the Integrated Sustainable Development Project, organised a training programme on Child Rights and Child Protection for students, parents, teachers, and School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) members.
Advocate Shivanand Alalli was the resource person and explained the fundamental rights of children, child protection laws, the importance of creating safe environments for children, and the shared responsibility of families, schools, and the community in ensuring children's well-being.
Fr. Jaison Pais, Director of Loyola Vikasa Kendra, inaugurated the programme and highlighted the importance of safeguarding every child's right to education, dignity, protection, and holistic development through collective community participation.
The training also focused on promoting child-friendly schools, strengthening the role of SDMC members and parents, and fostering a safe and supportive environment for children. A total of 63 participants attended the programme.
