Loyola Vikasa Kendra, Hangal, in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Project, organized a Legal Awareness Programme for women at Sammasagi village to promote awareness of legal rights and access to support services.
Advocate Vinayak Kurubar, the resource person, explained key legal provisions relating to women's rights, domestic violence, workplace safety, and available legal aid and support mechanisms. He encouraged women to seek timely assistance and make use of the legal protections available to them.
Fr. Jaison Pais, Director of Loyola Vikasa Kendra, inaugurated the programme and emphasised that legal awareness builds confidence and enables women to safeguard their rights. The programme concluded with an interactive session, during which 31 women participated and expressed that the training enhanced their knowledge and confidence
